Redemption from Sleep

In the stage of a war, there are many methods of dealing with your opponent. You could read him, observe him and then attack. Or you could go full blunt on him and just hope for the best as you press the trigger continuously. Playing Counter-Strike:Global Offensive really gets you going in these matters. Ofcourse, that's also when the phrase "Time flying by" comes to life.  For only when you load the game again, do you realize that you spent nearly four hours overusing a set of muscles of your hand on the internet, which isn't the best way to spend your time.
A while after that come the consequences. Primarily, eyes being tired. Body ache. Wondering why opening a book couldn't be as fun. And the excuses for not being able to complete a preset job in your head come thick and fast. Which are followed by self-assurances that eventually, everything will be managed just in time, even if it means missing out on your sleep a little. In short, your daily weekend routine.
But what happens after that is the problem. We reach eleven-o-hundred hours, look at the pile of work gathering dust on our desks and then at our blissful bed. This continues in an oscillatory motion for a while, with the bed winning the eventual bragging rights over the job that will now be completed in a wonderland called Tomorrow. And there isn't much guilty conscience in our blood at that point, since, you know, "A goodnight's sleep comes before everything else." Bravo to that.

The number of outrageous questions that can be posted here with no relatively close answers are probably larger than the aforementioned pile. And quite similarly, many could voice out that not everyone is like that. My sincerest Kudos to them, but, frankly, you're not doing anyone a favor. Not unless you help out those blinded lazy sloths we still have in huge populations. Include me in that.
My point here is not to accuse everyone of not giving enough in their lives without knowing how they live it. Its to help reach conclusions to why they think that their lives aren't simple enough;Or that there's too much to do or take care of; Or even that you're already "Too old for this sh**".
Excuses. That's all these things are. A way to make ourselves believe that "We couldn't do anything! Its out of our hands!". Giving ourselves a feel good factor that "Don't worry. You won't slip up the next time."

Believe me when I say this: Please Worry.

There are 24 hours in a day of our lives. Whatever you may do, whichever clock you may follow, that is a constant truth. So don't try and cloud that. The fact that some nice people say that 8 hours of sleep daily is a must is, in my opinion, complete nonsense. Your day gets shortened to 16 hours. Just imagine if our normal day ended at 4pm in the evening. What life would you be leading? Give a thought yourself, 'coz I don't think you need a hand in this.
We all at some point of time say we want remove the obstacles in our path. Well, its a funny thing that all of ignore the biggest one.

I heard this a long time ago & it amazes me that it took so long for me to get the gist of it. "What keeps you up in the night is what your passion is. What doesn't let you sleep, should be the thing that you pursue because only then will you be happy." And yes, its time to take this literally. That's when you'll be able to break the hoodoo of consistent human nature to find all kinds of excuses to not achieve your dreams.
Its the solution to all your problems. All life long, we complain of a lack of time and thus not being able to complete our tasks. Well this is the way to get the time you want. You always have had all the time you needed. The problem was you closed your eyes just when the perfect time arrived.
Hard work that you do all week just got two days more available. All the while you think you wanted more time at the gym to work on your body got an entire road free to run, sprint or jump on. Look around you. There is no shortage of tools to help you. Use everything and anything; and now, ANYTIME.

Grasp that alarm clock & chuck it away, 'coz you don't need to wake up anymore. Not unless you plan to not sleep again. Not until your dream is achieved. Not unless you get what you want from life.

Oh, and for all the people who claim about the medical aspects of not sleeping; That's sort of my point. Another excuse. A valid one, agreed. But for homo sapiens. For all the persons around our world who still want to live in their comfort zones and push their limits. Because I'm looking to bring about a change. One that hits the roots of our species. Sleep is an obstacle. A bad habit. And our body is capable of much, much more than what we can possibly imagine. And like all bad habits, this one is going to die hard. But die it will. If we start now. 'Coz I donot want to miss out on my dream. And I don't want to be included in the sloth list anymore. I want to Rise and grab my life by the scruff of the neck.
And Win. Win over Sleep. The Easiest Excuse. The Velvet hurdle.

What do You Want?
